Reboot

Wow, this place has been collecting dust for quite some time. I'm planning on changing that though. I'm putting into action a plan to organize my life and create a stable schedule for my activities. Too often, I don't keep up on something simply because my day to day schedule has zero structure or forethought put into it.

This blog is now going to pull double duty. It will still be a place for me to post sketches that aren't of the quality I want on my dA page. As part of my new schedule, I should be be putting out a high volume of artwork. Most of it will be sketches and studying- I'll be aiming to post at least one sketch a day, even if it ends up being crap or just study material. The point is to build the good habit of posting daily, rather than posting images of quality.

The second duty of this blog is tied into my decision to start a fitness routine. As it stands, I'll be doing P90 (the original, not P90X) for the next 3 months. I hope to move onto p90X at the end of this program, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. At the end of each day, I'll post my basic stats (weight, calorie intake), comments on the day's exercise, and essentially try to keep a measure of my progress. I'm hoping that posting here will help keep me honest and on track. At the end of every week, I'll try and take measurements for a more accurate record f my progress. In 90 days, when the program ends, I'll either proceed to P90X, or do another session of P90 til my fitness level is high enough for X.

I have a few days left to me to prep my home and schedule for this shift in lifestyle. I'll be starting on Monday, since the 7th day of every week is a rest day for the exercise program, and Sunday is my worst workday for exercise.

I'll try to cover my schedule in more detail during future posts, detailing my plans to schedule art and other activities into a structured weekly routine.

Been awhile since I posted here. Of course, been awhile since I actually sat down to draw.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Seems I have a taste for drawing other people's characters to loosen up. This is a pic of my friend Inuryan's character Marche. Tried several action shots, nothing worked. Did some curves, got this sexy pose, and said screw and just ran with it. I totally killed the picture when doing the airbrushing/shading, but since it's a sketch I'm not too worried.

Shrooms

Another incomplete work:
Shroomage
This one was a sketch of Inuryan's Mushroom people. The poses are good, and the basic colors are nice, but I lost interest partway through and decided to go back to another piece.

Bringing the Fire

First post here. Inspired by my friend Zenrider, I've decided to keep a blog here to drop random scrap artstuffs. I crank out a lot more scraps than I do completed works, and I'd like to show some from time to time.

We'll start with this, which was was a warmup piece today. Wasn't too bad an idea, but I started it on a whim and didn't want to spend the time to really work on it. After all, it was only to help loosen up. Speedpaint, about 30 minutes.
